Shobhana's book "A Sky Full of Bucket Lists" (Red River, 2021) won the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize 2021-2022 and received an Honourable Mention from The Haiku Foundation, USA. She's authored two poetry books and eight works as a memoirist and biographer.
Her latest project, "I, Salma, Translated Poems" (Red River, 2023), co-authored with K. Srilata, presents Salma's poems in English. She's also translating Manickavacagar’s Thiruvasakam with Priya Sarukkai Chabria.
Shobhana founded Small Differences, an NGO helping vulnerable communities. She holds roles in education and branding, serving as Associate Editor of Yavanika Press and contributing editor of Usawa Literary Journal. Additionally, she advises The Quarantine Train writing collective and mentors at Kumaraguru Institutions' CLED.
Outside her career, she engages with Coimbatore Arts and Theatrical Society (CATS), is on the Board of Trustees for Coimbatore Cancer Foundation and Yellow Train School, and serves on several educational and medical committees in Coimbatore.
