Dr. Suresh Sethuraman is presently Consultant Archaeologist at the Archaeological Survey of India of the Ministry of Culture. He was recently the Samuel Kress International Lecturer, Archaeological Institute of America --- the first Indian and first Asian to be nominated for this lectureship. He has led scores of theme-based Heritage Walks, including exclusive walks for school children, in the Nilgiris, Chennai, Tanjavur, Delhi and many other places. He has published 80 research articles and 35 books including tourist guidebooks and historical novels.
His book Nilgiris-A Guide to the Built Heritage of Ooty-Coonoor, an INTACH publication, has run into two reprints.
